WELCOME

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are honored to welcome you to the 2025 International Society for the Study and Prevention of Perinatal and Infant Death (ISPID) Conference, now taking place virtually.

While we had planned to gather in Houston, circumstances have led us to shift to an online format. Though we will miss the energy of coming together in person, our commitment to advancing research, supporting bereaved families, and fostering global collaboration remains stronger than ever.

This year’s theme—Fostering Unity for Infant and Child Survival: Collaborative Approaches Across Diverse Communities—guides our virtual conference experience. We will still explore the latest breakthroughs in perinatal and infant death research, highlight critical issues of equity and access, and create spaces for parents, clinicians, and advocates to connect in powerful and meaningful ways.

We believe that by meeting virtually, we also expand access: allowing more voices to be heard, more stories to be shared, and more partnerships to be forged. Whether you are a researcher presenting new data, a parent seeking community, or an advocate working for change, you are an essential part of this mission.

Thank you for joining us. Together, we will continue to push forward—building knowledge, sharing support, and working toward a world where every baby has the chance to survive and thrive.

With appreciation,
