A Note from our Scientific Committee
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The Scientific Committee for the 2025 International Conference on Stillbirth, SIDS, SUID/SUDI & SUDC welcomes you to Houston, TX, USA. Members of the International Society for the Study and Prevention of Perinatal and Infant Death (ISPID), First Candle, and other groups dedicated to this cause, including for the first time, those related to sudden deaths in childhood, will come together from around the world to further our knowledge. We will hear the stories of families, and build collaborations to re-energize efforts to improve outcomes for future generations, in the aim of preventing the sudden and unexpected deaths of our babies and children.
We have planned a multidisciplinary conference program that will provide something for everyone who is involved in this field of work. The conference will span the themes of epidemiology, education, pathology, physiology, bereavement, and child death review. A key aspect of the conference is to listen and learn from the families who have experienced the tragedy of a pregnancy, infant, or child loss. The goal of the Scientific Committee is that all attendees will leave the conference with a renewed commitment to increase global and collaborative research, innovative initiatives, and improved care for families.
We look forward to seeing you in Houston!
